Blood Pressure solutions
High blood pressure is a serious, in many cases dangerous health condition. The traditional drugs, usually prescribed to control BP, have unpleasant side effects and in many cases do more harm than good.

The good news is that there are alternative, simple blood pressure remedies. So if you are one of those suffering from HBP disorders read below.

Diet Changes
Bad eating habits or unhealthy diet can trigger BP related problems. In cases where you already suffer from BP disorder, an unhealthy diet can only worsen your condition. This is why the number one among the various blood pressure remedies is maintaining a healthy diet.

A healthy diet doesn't necessarily include special or expensive foods. In essence your meals must be rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, low fat diary products and full grain breads. Fat foods as well as foods rich in spices and especially sodium must be avoided.

Herbal Blood Pressure Remedies
Some herbs can be used to help BP problems. In some cases their effect is very good and regular drugs intake can be substituted by herbal medicines.

The most popular herb associated with BP cure is the herb hawthorn. Garlic, although not a herb, is also very beneficial in relieving high BP symptoms.

Other supplements that are good BP remedies are coenzyme Q10, fish oil, folid acid, potassium, magnesium, calcium.

Live Actively
If your lifestyle doesn't include much of action you must definitely change this. Start some stop or other outdoor activity. This will not only improve your BP but your overall health. Moreover sports are great for reducing stress, yet another reason for blood pressure disorders.

Yoga, aerobics, jogging, swimming are all good ways to exercise. In case you are unable to participate in similar kind of sports activities you can start taking walks out in the open whenever u can or do mountain trips with your friends.

Alternative Medicine
Chinese medicine includes several of practices that are helpful blood pressure remedies. A combination of herbs and acupuncture can be used for normalizing the BP and helping avoid the use of dangerous drugs.

Underarm Sweating - Hyperdosis!

Underarm sweating can be a terrible experience for the first meeting impression to the others. It does so since the underarm sweating could spread bad body smell to yourself as well as create stains to your outfits . Most often, underarm sweating happens when doing sporting activities. This kind of sweating also occurs when an individual is suffering from stress. Besides the unpleasant body aroma that occurs because of underarm sweating, there are also various other consequences to contend with. One system to decline the opportunities of underarm sweating influencing you is to put on the suitable type of garments . It does so since besides the smell, this form of sweating can result in spoiling your garment by causing sweat stain marks.

Yet, the most excellent technique to decrease the incidence of underarm sweating is to have the area operated on. As a matter of fact, this treatment method has been recognized to show a high success rate. Nevertheless, at the same time this is expensive as well as puts you at hazard of unusual side effects, for example losing skin in the area of your armpits.

It is recognized to be effective in controlling underarm sweating. There are as a matter of fact, some yoga relaxation systems that can help you in this regard although in an indirect system. The fact of the matter is that since yoga is recognized to reduce stress, it will thus in a quantity of way make sure that you don't end up with underarm sweating which typically takes place when you are too stressed out in your mind.

Deodorant or anti-perspirants is the easiest system to decline your underarm sweating. Undoubtedly, anti-perspirants help in blocking the sweat ducts through the aluminum salts contained in it. Nevertheless, at the same time, there are rumors that anti-perspirants can cause breast cancer as well. In Praise of Cholesterol

Can we all get over our fixation on cholesterol? I mean, now that it's clear that cholesterol isn't what's causing heart disease?

But, but, but, if cholesterol is building up in my arteries, doesn't that mean cholesterol's the problem?

Actually, no. Your cholesterol is simply trying to patch up raw spots in your arteries that were caused by inflammation-which is the problem. Cholesterol is the overworked, under appreciated good guy in the scenario.

Get rid of inflammation, and you get rid of a lot of problems-including cardiovascular "events." But that's another article for another day.

While the medical community makes its slow transition from cholesterol to inflammation as the villain of the piece, here are some facts you should know.

The brain needs plenty of cholesterol to function. A brain is a terrible thing to waste, especially for a mistake.

The endocrine system-the thyroid, adrenals, pancreas, gonads, etc-needs cholesterol to keep us awake, alert and ready to make life happen.

Consider the thyroid: Most doctors prescribe Synthroid, or an equivalent T4 medication, to patients with an underactive thyroid. The fact is, however, that T4 doesn't do much; our bodies have to convert the T4 to T3 to get thyroid function off the mat. The conversion can't be done without cholesterol, so hypothyroid patients can faithfully take their meds and still feel like death struck by a brick. The conversion isn't guaranteed in any case (and don't get me started about why that makes T4 medications inadequate and basically not worth spit), but it absolutely can't happen without enough cholesterol.

The adrenals, which provide general energy and the ability to cope with stress, also need cholesterol to avoid dragging bottom. And it's not a case of a little dab'll do ya, either.

And low cholesterol means low libido, too.

I could go on, but why? Millions upon millions of people have thyroid problems. Most of them also have adrenal problems. These people need cholesterol. A good healthy level of 200, maybe more.

People with any sort of endocrine problem shouldn't take drugs to lower cholesterol. Or eat low-fat diets. Or take a pass on the salt shaker. Wrong, wrong and wrong.

People who think a working brain is a good idea also should look askance at cholesterol-lowering drugs. A functioning liver and muscle strength are good reasons to avoid these drugs, too.

We need to get over this cholesterol obsession before it kills any more of us.

Migraine Headache Cure

Migraine can be one of the most annoying and painful ailments to afflict anyone. People affected by migraine find it quite difficult to carry on with their regular tasks when migraine strikes. Getting a migraine headache cure is one of the most sought after solutions that patients need.

There is a school of thought, which says that migraines are caused due to some psychological reasons and should have cures that are psychological in nature. Apart from a physical condition or a dietary cause, many migraines are caused by anger, guilt and allergy (association). These are all negative and illness inducing emotions that are held responsible for triggering migraines. In all these cases, the treatment should focus on emotional healing as well as behavior and emotion modification.

In case of dietary causes, magnesium deficiency is one of the primary causes of migraines. This is caused by consuming diets high in protein as well as the consumption of alcohol, soft water, caffeine and diuretics. Getting too much of calcium and too less of magnesium may also cause migraines. The cure in such cases is to opt for medicines or supplements that are rich in magnesium.

In addition to the aforesaid factors, a lot of migraines are caused by stress and tension. In these instances, the patient should de-stress, practice yoga, meditate or take a break to relax and unwind as part of migraine headache cure.

So, try to find out the reasons that have caused the onset of a migraine and treat it accordingly to get relief from this nagging and painful ailment.

Today's Opiate Detox
Drugs are bad, we all know it - we've all heard. But so many people are feeling the need to turn to drugs to ease their pain or depression, and many others are becoming addicted to painkillers that were once prescribed to them for an injury or surgery in the past. More and more people have struggled for years with drug abuse and are now looking to do something about it.

Opiate drugs are very addicting and many people find themselves quickly becoming reliant on drugs such as morphine, heroin, or oxycodone. These drugs go right to the central nervous system and provide the body with a substitute for its endorphins. Eventually the body will stop making its own endorphins, which are the natural pain killers of the body and give a high when experiencing something pleasurable. Naturally, this is where the problem arises, because without the body making its own endorphins, it begins to rely heavily on opiates to get that feeling and avoid pain.

Opiate Withdrawal Symptoms
Withdrawing from opiates causes severe side effects, including nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, anxiety, restlessness, and pain in the joints and muscles. Because of the unpleasantness of the detox, it is a frightening thing for many addicts to think about. It might just be easier for some to keep taking the drug than to face the detox from it.

Methods
Detoxing from opiates is not life-threatening, but because it is difficult it takes someone committed to recovering to undergo it. There are many methods for opiate detox. Some people quit cold turkey or use naltrexone which blocks the opiate so it does not have any effect on the body. It takes only a matter of days for the most severe symptoms to subside. Others are able to gradually be weaned off by using another drug, like buprenorphine. The problem many people have found with a replacement drug like buprenorphine is that they soon begin to rely on the new drug, and many people are never able to be drug-free. It has been argued that with those that continue to use buprenorphine, at least this drug is manageable and an addict might be able to function in life better than while addicted to other opiates.

Recovery
After the detox from opiates is complete, the patient will eventually begin to feel better and now the focus will be on staying clean from these drugs. The body will no longer be dependent on the drug, but the mind will feel the need to use them again. A person that has gone through opiate detox should immediately enter a rehabilitation program to ensure they stay sober. Usually drug abuse becomes intertwined with a person's lifestyle and to just take away the drug and not change the lifestyle does little for the patient. It may take years of regular counseling and support group meetings to keep a person from turning back to drugs.

Pesticides in Our Food Supply

The use of pesticides in the US and other countries is a growing concern with many consumers in the US. The Federal Government monitors and tests for pesticides in our food supply and makes risk assessments from the gathered data. An accurate, reliable testing program is needed so the Federal Government, agricultural producers and consumers can make informed decisions about safe practices regarding pesticide residues and pesticide use. The consumer wants to know that pesticides will be at a safe level in our agricultural commodities, produced here in the US and imported from other countries.

The Environmental Protection Agency is the branch of the federal government that is mandated to set the limits on how much of a particular pesticide residue can remain in food and feed products, or commodities. The EPA sets maximum residue limits (MRLs), or tolerances, for pesticides that can be used on food and feed commodities. The tolerances are set to protect us from harmful levels of pesticides on and in our food.

The Pesticide Data Program (PDP) is a national pesticide residue database program. PDP overseas the collection, analysis, data entry and reporting of pesticide residues on agricultural commodities in the US food supply. Their main focus is on the commodities highly consumed by infants and children. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) was tasked with designing and implementing a program to collect and report data on pesticides in food. The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) was given the responsibility of operating this program in May 1991. Over the last decade, Pesticide Data Program has progressed from a quick survey of a few commodities to being the primary source of pesticide residue data, which supports the dietary exposure component of risk assessments performed by the EPA.

Meat, water and approximately 20 different commodities are analyzed each year with each commodity being in the program 2 consecutive years. Samples are retrieved from more than 500 sites in 10 different states and are chosen without regard to country of origin or organic labeling. The PDP laboratories monitor pesticides, metabolites, degradates and isomers using multiple residue methods (MRMs). MRMs are used to detect multiple compounds in a single analytical test with more than 30 methods used in this program to detect various pesticide compounds. In recent years, almost 1,000,000 discrete pesticide pairs have been determined per year. Nearly 10,000,000 measurements have been performed since the start of the program. 27 different types of fresh fruit and vegetables, 21 different types of processed commodities, 5 types of grain and wheat flour, cow's milk, butter, beef muscle, beef liver, beef fat, chicken muscle, chicken liver, chicken fat and drinking water have been analyzed.

Test samples are prepared by emulating consumer practices. The inedible parts of fruits and vegetables are removed and the sample is peeled and washed under fresh running water before being chopped and homogenized. Juices are diluted according to the label instructions and canned and frozen fruits and vegetables are homogenized with any liquid present. Meats and grains are homogenized in the raw form. In the 10 year period from 1993 to 2003, over 100,000 samples were analyzed, and about 65% of those are fresh fruit and vegetable samples.

The overall percentage of samples with detectable pesticides in food was 58%. Out of the 102,058 samples, 185 were over the tolerance limit set by the EPA. 65% of the fresh fruit and vegetables had detectable pesticides in the washed edible tissues. The majority of fresh fruit and vegetables have pesticide detection rates of 50% or greater, with six commodities having consistent pesticide detection rates of 90% or greater. Those commodities are apples, celery, cherries, nectarines, peaches and strawberries. One must remember that out of the over 100,000 samples less than 1% were over tolerance. DDT and a metabolite DDE p.p' are still being found in 37% of carrot samples, 39% of spinach samples and 7% of potato samples, thirty years after its use was banned. While the pesticide DDT is still being detected, the residue being found is below the action levels set by the FDA.

The pesticides in food data has statistically shown that 1% or less of the yearly samples have pesticide residue above the EPA tolerances. This data suggests that illegal pesticide use on foods is rare. Future risk assessments, analyzing exposure to multiple compounds and methods to quantify dietary exposure are being developed to incorporate the data generated by the Pesticide Data Program. The program clearly show that pesticides are detectable in 58% of all samples and the EPA and FDA are constantly assessing dietary risks to the nations food supply.

This data is gathered so informed decisions can be made regarding pesticide application levels, risk assessments for public safety and identifying what pesticides are being used in the US and other countries. Why this information is important to you the consumer, is now you can begin to ask informed questions to your produce suppliers and elected officials regarding pesticide residues in our food supply. Questions like, what are the risks of low level exposure to pesticides in our food over the long run? Or what can I do personally to assure my family is eating food that is not going to harm them? Many Americans are once again raising their own fruits and vegetables just for this reason. Growing organic is a trend that is quickly building interest and momentum across the nation. One sure way of knowing what you are consuming is safe is by growing it yourself. Additional information can be found through the USDA, the EPA and the FDA.

Is Stress Making You Fat?

With all the changes in our lives and the current economic situation, it is harder than ever to lose those unwanted pounds. Whether your body is reacting to psychological or physical stress, your body releases potent hormones. This prompts the body to get a burst of adrenaline along with the response to fight or flee. Typically, we reach for snacks that are not very healthy such as salty, sweet and high-fat foods, which stimulates the brain to release chemicals that reduce tension. Unfortunately, this effect is addicting and prompts us to eat fattening foods when we are under stress or have anxiety.

Some ways to curb this is are by planning for these unfortunate situations and pack healthy snacks that you can reach for in times of high stress. Some healthy snacks include carrot or celery sticks, a handful of peanuts or soy nuts and 8 ounces of a low fat yogurt. Whole grains are also a good choice because they are full of calcium and magnesium, which are body's need on a daily basis.

Yoga or meditation is another great way to reduce stress and it helps you relax after a hectic day. There are a lot of classes that you can take locally, but if you prefer the privacy of your own home, then simply visit your local bookstore. They should have a library of video's to choose from. If you have never done yoga before, I recommend starting out with a beginner tape until you feel you are ready for a more advanced program. There are also some wonderful CD's available to teach you how to meditate and Brain Sync has a large selection to choose from.

If stress is getting the better of you, then try these helpful tips above to start taking back control of your eating habits and start maintaining a happy and healthy lifestyle.

If your really serious about losing weight and keeping it off, I have a great program that has helped millions of American's lose weight. People who have never been able to lose weight in the past have had great success with this program. Visit https://www.profitablediet.com for more information.

Drug Education - An Emerging Concept For Teachers

Children are the symbol of peace and victory, and childhood is a period of innocence. Children growth cannot be estimated from their height, but it requires examining their pattern of behavior and changes in the attitude to judge their development.

Children spent most of their day at home, followed by school and friends respectively. But as child grows, it's been observed that they spend most of their time outside home with their friends. Whether the friends are reliable or not; whether they are involve in any unpleasant activities or drug addiction, children at their early ages, especially when they are in their teens cannot judge it well. For them, friendship is more precious than any thing else.

As the world is changing, attitudes and behaviors are also altering. Children are adapting every new thing instantaneously, which lure them. They emulate many things instantaneously, without letting others to know it.

It is being observed that parents, as well as teachers are mostly unaware of the bad habits, in which their children are or about to involve. The only person who knows about their unhealthy activities is friends. Out of many bad habits, drug abuse is commonly found among youth around the globe. Drug abuse is initially practiced in the form of glue, Inhalants, cigarette, alcohol, beer, sedatives, syrup having codeine/codine, pain relievers, any drink containing caffeine, etc. Children may later substitute it from cocaine, hashish, marijuana, depressants, steroids, etc. Such habit of drug abusing is commonly practiced in parks or at different places, where it is almost impossible for a teacher or parents to reach.

The question is: why children get into drugs? What are the real causes behind the curtain? Why children adopt such deadly habit? The following genuine reasons were found after an extensive research, which trigger children to use drugs:

Poverty, friend circle, peer pressure, corporal punishment, family violence, child abuse, depression, inferiority, high status, pleasure, financial problems, chatting to strangers, relieve boredom, forget painful memories, advertisement, etc. The reasons are uncountable, so it requires lots of grass root researches to be conducted to find more genuine reasons.

Youth want to look cool and they want others to notice them. They want to perform unusual act to grab others attention as well. Confidence, friendship with others, outspoken, extroversive, party animal, etc are some of the traits found in most of the youth, but when you observe some other traits like fear, anguish, hyper activity, change in sleeping pattern, excessive behavior problem, abusive language, mostly sitting alone in a locked room, alteration in mood, drastic change in study pattern and poor grades, excessive impulsivity, mostly coming late nights from friend circle, change in eating pattern, etc., then you can initiate to look for the real matter.

A teacher must not lose hope and should take the responsibility by taking one bold step of caring their students like their own children. Often youth are neglected at home or they outburst their frustration in the form of using drugs. Without any reason, one may not involve in any form of bad habit. Youth always need someone listening and caring them. Whatever is concealed from the parents could be expressed by them to their teachers, if they really trust you. Two of my former students were involved in drug addiction. I was unaware of their habits until one day, I caught them up. Instead of informing their parents, who would have started beating them, the best possible step I took was to counsel the students. I believe that whatever we want to talk to or to resolve should take place face to face. After five sessions of counseling, I got to know the reasons of their involvement in drug abuse. "A" was addicted to cigarette as his group of friends brain washed his mind that a man should smoke. That emotional black mail turned him to use drugs, and gradually he was addicted to it. "B" started using drugs because he saw his father using it since he was 13. He constantly watched his father's pattern until one day, his friend introduced to drug addiction. Since that day, he started using drugs occasionally. It is being observed that whenever youngsters trap in problems, they often turn their way to drug addiction for coping up the situation. For most of such cases, youngsters are found to lack decision making skills. Decision making is a key to prevention of drug abuse. Teach students life skills to take right decisions independently..

In a nutshell, arranging seminars and workshops for teachers and social workers are not the solution. The time has come to implement rather than making policies. Counseling is one of the best solutions to solve bad habits in youngsters. It requires lots of skills to create a trust. First of all, create a bond of trust by inviting a child to be your friend. Once they trust you, they can explore and share their live with you and could also listen to your sayings. When you counsel any child, be close to them as warmth and support is the only tool which can lead to get towards the reality. Tell them that you will keep all the information confidential and try to share any realistic stories, if you or your relatives were once involved in drug abuse and how you or they overcome the problem. . I recommend all the teachers to adopt positive attitude in order to explore the reasons behind using drugs. Our quality guidance and support would surely bring changes in many lives. You may also find some stories at www.drugfreeworld.org. Teachers and parents can get free teaching material from the world renowned Drug Free World Foundation, USA to promote drug education worldwide.

One more skill a teacher can try is to create a dynamic relation, as the outcomes would be more realistic. For that, a teacher can make small groups among classmates and later, give them some brain storming activity or topic to discuss, such as what are the harmful effects of drug? How can we create a drug free society? You can even arrange an essay competition or poster competition and then display it for spreading this noble message. Appreciating youth and giving them a task of leadership would surely reap better outcomes. Invite their parents to show their children efforts. One technique which a teacher can use is to craft a small card with a tag "DO NOT SMOKE; THIS HOUSE IS SMOKE FREE." Students can color it and later it can be guided to stick it to their main entrance door. It will surely work. Parents' can even initiate such steps to aware their youth appreciated that effort. Parent teacher education programs on anti-drug topic really work. If the protector of the children i.e., parents will be involved, the mushroom growth of drug addiction can be halted.

In the same manner, why not to arrange some workshops! Here workshop doesn't means boring lectures. Instead, try to arrange some game show or activity sessions to make your effort fruitful. Children love participating in activities, so such interactive workshops would be an effective tool as well.

A teacher can also promote drug free school/ college/ university campaign, where a visitor or a teacher should not be allowed to use drugs of any kind at their respective institutions. Such initiatives would encourage youth to initiate such program in their communities as well.

Teach student to engage themselves in healthy extra curricular activities like music, sports, to divert their mind from drugs. Teach them to say no to drug when any one offers them. A teacher can provide students with information on the health risk linked to drug abuse and also give them forum to discuss this issue openly. Ministry of Education should promote Drug Education and should integrate it in science curriculum at the grass root level, in order to develop healthy minds and shaping positive attitude at their early ages.

Remember, drug addicts are not bad, the habit is bad. So try to make your child aware of drug hazards as earlier as possible to create better and healthy citizens and to improve their quality of life.

Cellulite Soap - A Good Cellulite Remedy Or Another Money Maker?

When it comes to cellulite cures, it appears that we have it all on the market today!

First there was the cellulite pill then the cellulite shoes and pants, all of which left us wonder whatever would be next! Now though there is something to surpass it all, or so the makers would have you believe! Now we have cellulite soap as a marketable cellulite remedy!

Although this is one of the newest cellulite solutions on the market, it is already making waves. There has been a huge marketing campaign and everyone seems to have jumped on the bandwagon, but does it really work?

What Is Cellulite Soap?

This particular cellulite remedy is actually exactly what it says it is. It is a soap that has been designed to have a cellulite busting effect. It is almost wholly natural and full of nutrients that can help to improve the appearance of cellulite within a few weeks if the boasts that the manufacturers are putting out are to be believed. That is, as long as you follow the cellulite remedy instructions! Whether you take a shower once a day or twice a day usually, you are supposed to shower twice a day when using this soap to enable cellulite reduction.

What Can It Do?

Cellulite soap is said to have several properties that aid in the fight against the orange peel. As the ingredients within the soap are entirely natural, they can apparently help to tone and nourish the skin whilst penetrating deep into the fatty layer to break it down. This firms your cellulite up and will reduce the appearance of your cellulite in no time. Again, this is all from the manufacturer. We will investigate if it will work as an effective cellulite remedy after examining the ingredients and method a little more closely.

One particular brand of cellulite soap available is unimaginatively called Anti Cellulite Seaweed Soap. The cellulite remedy itself is based, unsurprisingly, on seaweed, which has many natural beneficial properties. It is packed full of nutrients and can aid the body in the breakdown of fats. It also encourages the thyroid to work effectively because it contains iodine, which is absorbed and then helps to increase the body's rate of metabolism.

How Does It Work?

This cellulite remedy apparently gets under the skin via the warmth of the shower opening the pores. It is then absorbed into the dermis to directly combat the fat whilst the iodine in it enters the bloodstream and is ultimately absorbed by the thyroid. In this way, it not only speeds up the metabolism but will also detoxify the body.

If this sounds a little illogical to you then you are not on your own though! The boasts of the manufacturers of cellulite remedy soaps actually go against everything we know about the body. Soaps can nourish the skin but getting beyond that to have an effect on cellulite without deep massage or a cream treatment is unlikely. After all, soap is washed off almost immediately! Take this cellulite cure with a pinch of salt. It may work for you but that is very doubtful, although you will probably wind up with very soft skin!

Fighting Childhood Obesity Through Proper Nutrition

Around the world, childhood obesity is becoming a known issue. What many people in many countries don't realize, however, is that childhood obesity is caused by a form of malnutrition.

It might seem challenging to start working veggies and fruits into a child's diet, but it can be done if you approach the challenge with an attitude of adventurousness rather than one of dread. You'll have to change your shopping habits to match your family's new eating habits, but it's really a small sacrifice to help your child grow up without the scars of obesity.

Your child may be obese already, or you may be concerned that he or she will be someday. Either way, the same basic rules of eating will make sure your baby stays or becomes thinner:

Proteins: You probably feed your child some form of protein, like string cheese or chicken, but it's very probable that your child simply isn't getting enough. Protein is THE major building block of all tissues in the human body, and children need more than adults to keep up with their own growth. Your best bets are eggs, cheese, rare red meat, and fish. Trying to maintain a child's essential amino acid balance on a vegetarian diet is almost impossible; at the minimum, give your child a few raw eggs in a fruit smoothie at breakfast.

Fruits and Vegetables: You are almost certainly going to need to feed your child more fruits and veggies. The important thing to note is the colors: they should get at least three different colors of each, every day. It might seem like an uphill battle to work them in, but the answer is creative presentation. Make dinner salads with green pea pods, yellow peppers, red tomatoes, and chicken and cheese, three colors of vegetable, three servings, one meal. Done! Make carrot sticks and serve them with peanut butter or cream cheese for a healthy and delicious snack. All it takes is viewing the veggie-eating experience as a fun adventure rather than a chore, and your children are sure to get the nutrition they need.

Beans & Legumes: These foods are often overlooked, but they can be very powerful tools in your anti-obesity arsenal. Add kidney beans to soups, stews, and salads; add chickpeas to salads, or even to sandwiches in the form of hummus. A simple but delicious three-bean salad (green beans, kidney beans, and garbanzo beans in a simple Italian salad dressing) can make an excellent addition to your child's school lunch. These nutritive gems pack on the value.

Dairy Products: Milk. It does, in fact, do a body good. But milk isn't the end of the dairy goodness. You should encourage your children to snack on cheeses, yogurt, and no-crap-in-it ice cream. The caveat: make sure the milk is neither pasteurized nor homogenized. Pasteurization kills 85% of the vitamin content of milk (which is why they have to fortify it), and homogenization breaks the healthy fats in milk down into unhealthy fats that your child's body can't utilize. These foods can be hard to find, but their health benefits are impossible to overstate.
