Mile High Magic
These are just some of the reasons that 25% of all meeting attendees extend their stay.
Come and experience Denver’s charmed life at the edge of the Rocky Mountains. Denver, the Mile High City, is today as it was 100 years ago, the largest metropolis between California and Missouri and between Dallas and Seattle. With its thriving neighborhoods, flourishing art scene, museums, and historic homes, Denver is a place rich in history, beauty and excitement. There are many things to do in and around the downtown area. Attractions include the Denver Museum of Natural History, Lower Downtown (LoDo), Colorado’s Ocean Journey, Molly Brown House Museum, Denver Center for Performing Arts and Coors Brewery, just to name a few.
Colorado’s Ocean Journey
A state-of-the-art aquarium, Ocean Journey takes you on two incredible journeys
of flowing waters. One journey follows the Colorado River from the Continental
Divide to the Sea of Cortez. Then go halfway around the world to follow a tropical
river from an Indonesian rainforest to the very depths of the Pacific Ocean.
Ocean Journey holds over 15,000 specimens of fish and you’ll be able to stand
nose-to-nose with the most endangered species of tigers, experience the fury
of a flash flood, and lose yourself in a rainforest covered by a canopy of 40-foot
trees.
Denver Botanic Gardens
One of Denver’s loveliest refuges, the Botanic Gardens encompasses 21 acres
and includes a rose garden, herb garden and other specialty gardens. The one-acre
rock alpine garden is considered one of the finest in the country. The lovely
Japanese Shofu-en (Garden of Pine Wind) designed by America’s foremost landscaper,
Koichi Kawana, is complete with an authentic teahouse. A tropical conservatory
and pavilion houses orchids, bromeliads and other warmth-loving species.
Denver Center for Performing Arts
Just two blocks from the Colorado Convention Center, The Denver Center for Performing
Arts extends over the space of four downtown city blocks, and is the nation’s
second largest performing arts complex, with nine theaters and a symphony hall.
The Denver Zoo
Denver’s zoo is consistently ranked as one of the city’s most popular attractions.
More than 1,300 animal and bird species make up the Mountain and the “Northern
Shores” exhibit where you can view polar bears and sea lions swimming underwater.
Don’t miss the 22,000 square foot Tropical Discovery, complete with hundreds
of animals surrounded by rain forests, rivers and swamps.
Lower Downtown (LoDo)
A red brick historic area, LoDo is the epicenter of Denver’s nightlife. It boasts
25 square blocks of dining, galleries, microbrewies and dance clubs.
These are just some of the reasons that when Denver’s the destination, 25% of all attendees extend their stay.
