1. What is AAPS PharmSci?

AAPS PharmSci is an online journal published by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. To navigate this site, click on the menu items to the left.

2. Why should I upgrade my browser?

Although Netscape Navigator has been the best browser available in the past, it has now been eclipsed by Microsoft's Internet Explorer(IE). Currently, IE exists as the most intuitive and sophisticated browser available. Version 5.5 is able to read the more complicated scripts, some of which this site uses. We highly recommend you download it by Clicking Here.

3. How do I submit a manuscript to AAPS PharmSci?

Read carefully and follow the Instructions to Authors, reached by clicking on the link provided both here and on the Home Page. If you have any questions after reading the Instructions to Authors, please contact AAPS PharmSci Editorial Office at pharmsci-edoffice@aaps.org.

4. How do I save equations and tables as separate files?

Special utilities such as Equation Editor are problematic for electronic publishing.  Images should be saved as  .jpegs or .gifs.  A reliable method is to save your table or equation out of Equation Editor, Excel, or other program is to :

Copy it (use the Edit drop down menu menu/select Copy) and paste (Edit/Paste) it into a new file in your Paint or PaintBrush program. Save this file as a .jpeg, .gif, or .bmp file using the File menu (File/Save As), and selecting from the list. If you are still having difficulty, contact AAPS PharmSci Editorial Office at pharmsci-edoffice@aaps.org.

5. Are certain fonts better than others?

For your text, specific fonts are not necessary. It is essential, however, that you use symbol font for every special character, including mathematical signs and symbols as well as Greek letters.

6. Will I receive traditional proofs of my final article?

No. You will be notified by E-mail when your proof is available online, and you will be instructed to go to a web site review your proof. Once there, you may read the proof online or you may print a copy to read. You will be instructed how to approve the proof or submit corrections.

7. How does someone cite an article from an online journal?

Citations for articles appearing in AAPS PharmSci follow the American Medical Association format for citing online journals:

Almira I. Blazek-Welsh and David G. Rhodes Maltodextrin-Based Proniosomes AAPS Pharmsci. 2001; 3 (1) article 1 (https://www.pharmsci.org).

The format is similar to citing print journals except a unique article number and the URL has been added. Article numbers are unique to each article in a volume and are numbered sequentially from the beginning of the year.

AAPS PharmSci provides the reader with the exact article citation at the top of every article.

8. Where do I go if I need help?
