This privacy statement demonstrates American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists’ (“AAPS”) commitment to your right to privacy and explains the privacy policy governing the AAPS Portal site (the “Web Site”).  It is our general policy to collect and store only personal information that our members and visitors knowingly provide.

Areas of our site may require you to provide contact or other personally identifiable information, such as your name or e-mail address, which would only be used as described below.   Unless otherwise provided, we may use the personal information we collect from you to ensure that our community is protected against unauthorized access, to use e-mail to diagnose problems with the server or to administer the Web Site, and to contact you when necessary.  In addition, AAPS may sell, lease or otherwise provide the contact information you give in the membership application to third parties for pharmaceutical industry-related goods and services.  AAPS shall permit such sale, lease or provision only (a) for a one-time use by the third party and (b) when AAPS has reviewed and approved the use by the third party.

If our privacy policy changes, we will notify all users by a special announcement on the Web Site.

Minors, as defined by the jurisdiction from you are accessing this Web Site, are not permitted to subscribe to or use the Web Site.

Choice/Opt-Out:

If you do not want personally identifiable information that you provide on the Web Site’s membership application to be disclosed to third parties as described above, you may opt out and elect not to have the information shared with third parties.  AN OPT-OUT BOX WILL APPEAR WHEN YOU PROVIDE ANY REQUESTED INFORMATION.
