About Share
Your Expertise
The
Share Your
Expertise
program was created to enhance the AAPS Distance
Learning electronic education
initiative. It provides AAPS members with an additional venue
for their publishing interests, and, as an end result, it offers a
diverse selection of lower-cost continuing education events. All
without the need for travel, lodging, and time away from home and
office.
AAPS is currently
seeking continuing education content that could be released in any of the following
formats:
CD-ROMs
containing audio lectures with synchronized PowerPoint slides.
Web-based
presentations containing text and graphics.
Live
audio teleconferences with Web-based synchronized slides.
Authors may
work alone, or in collaboration with colleagues. Honoraria will be offered
based on content, length, and format of program.
Members who have an
idea for a program may contact us for assistance, or may submit the proposal
form at this time. The Share
Your Expertise
program is ongoing; there is no submission deadline. Proposals will be evaluated immediately upon receipt.
| Let's Get Started!
Five Easy Steps:
Step
1 Print, complete, and
fax the proposal form to us. We'll review it immediately and contact
you within 48 hours. Just click on the link below to get started.

Step 2
Next, we'll discuss with you the most appropriate delivery format for
your continuing education seminar. Perhaps it will be a Web-based
event, a CD-ROM, or a live audio teleconference from the comfort of
your own office. In the latter two instances, your PowerPoint
slides will be synchronized to the lecture, and viewed by all
participants. For Web-based events, your graphics can easily be
incorporated into the various pages.
Step
3
We will then discuss an appropriate honorarium for your efforts, and
ask you to sign our standard author agreement.
Step 4
Create your PowerPoint slides, and either draft your narrative or
compile your notes, depending on which presentation venue we have
mutually agreed upon. If your PowerPoint slides contain work
that belongs to others (charts, tables, photos, illustrations, etc.)
you'll need to contact the original author/publisher for written
permission. We have a special form that will assist you with
this process.
Step 5
Finally, and again depending on the venue, we'll either begin the
packaging of your seminar on CD-ROM or the Web, or arrange a time for
the live audio teleconference.
