About the Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics and Drug
Metabolism (PPDM) Section
The Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics and Drug
Metabolism (PPDM) Section brings together qualified individuals investigating
or
interested in drug and clinical action, disposition, and biotransformation.
This
section sustains a forum for the deliberation of issues related to
biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of new and existing
drugs. PPDM provides an opportunity for presentation of new developments and
for
exchange of ideas by individuals engaged in various facets of pharmacokinetics,
pharmacodynamics, drug metabolism, biopharmaceutics, and related sciences,
facilitating the advancement of their field of activity. A further objective of
the PPDM Section is to promote interaction between academia, industry, and
regulatory bodies via sponsorship of workshops, symposia, and seminars.

Summer internship program
(Committee: Jash
Unadkat (Chair), Mark Rogge, Phil Mayer, David Mitchell, Cheryl Zimmerman, Ron
Sawchuk)
This web site is designed to facilitate pharmaceutical
companies to widely advertise their summer internship program and for graduate
students (MS or Ph.D.) to find summer internship positions in the area of
pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and drug metabolism (PPDM). Summer
internship
programs are designed to enhance the understanding and appreciation of the drug
discovery and development process on the part of graduate students.
Although many pharmaceutical companies and universities have such a program in
place (see below), this web site has been initiated to make these programs more
widely advertised and to generate interests on the parts of additional
pharmaceutical companies to initiate such a program. If you are a
pharmaceutical
company or a graduate student and would like to either advertise or seek a
summer internship position, you may do so by submitting a brief advertisement
(not more than 50 words) for posting on this web site to Chris Reed at
reedc@aaps.org
or you can create
your ad online:
https://www.aapspharmaceutica.org/bin/mplogin.asp?FormType=Internship.
