The Kansas City Discussion Group of the American Association of Pharmaceutical
Scientists (AAPS/KCDG) is currently soliciting speakers for the 2001-2 Dinner
Discussion Meeting series. Our meetings are typically held on the second
Tuesday of the month. Presentation begin at 7:30 PM and should be 30-45
minutes in length. The presentation is followed by a question and answer
period of up to 15 minutes. This is a wonderful opportunity to communicate
your work to pharmaceutical scientists outside your company or university.

KCDG:
A Local Scientific Organization Affiliated with the American Association of
Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS) The Kansas City Discussion Group (KCDG) was
organized in 1988 and held its first formal meeting in September, 1989. The
purpose of KCDG is to: 1) foster education in the knowledge of the
pharmaceutical sciences, 2) provide a local forum at which all interested in
the advances of pharmaceutical sciences may meet in professional and personal
fellowship, and 3) share the scientific interest of researchers within the
Kansas City area. The KCDG broadly defines the area of pharmaceutical
sciences to include all disciplines related to pharmaceutical, chemical and
agricultural research.
Formal dinner meetings are held monthly from September to May. Topics and
speakers are chosen from suggestions made by the membership, e.g., drug and
chemical delivery and analysis, toxicology, biotechnology, pharmacokinetics,
pharmacodynamics, drug metabolism, controlled release technology, medicinal
chemistry, pharmaceutical technology, to name a few. Participation in the
KCDG seminars and discussions is open to all parties interested in
pharmaceutical, chemical, and agricultural research. Membership is free and
likewise open to all parties. The KCDG is affiliated with the American
Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS), but membership to AAPS is not
required for attendance or participation in the meetings.
