Victor Van Beuren Joins AAPS
as Director of Publishing
ARLINGTON, Va.
- American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists' (AAPS) Executive Director
John "Jack" B. Cox announced that Victor Van Beuren has joined AAPS as the
director of the publishing department.
Van Beuren will oversee the day-to-day management and development of editorial
process and policy for
AAPS PharmSci
and
AAPS PharmSci Tech
, the association's exclusively online journals;
AAPS Newsmagazine
, the association's monthly magazine; and AAPS Press, the association's new
book publishing program.
Van Beuren formerly served as director of publications and communications at
the American Fisheries Society, Bethesda, Md. He has more than 16 years of
experience in the publishing field with commercial and non-profit
organizations. Previous positions include director of communications and
publications and editor,
Geotimes
at the American Geological Institute, Alexandria, Va.; and acquisitions
editor, Physical Science Journals at Elsevier Science, Inc., New York, N.Y.
