AAPS Presents Pharmaceutical Technologies Conference

ARLINGTON, Va. - The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) will present the AAPS Pharmaceutical Technologies Conference: State of the Art in Designing Controlled Release Solid Oral Dosage Forms, June 10-15, 2001 at the Sheraton El Conquistador Resort & Country Club in Tucson, Ariz.

"The Pharmaceutical Technologies Conference is a unique learning experience consisting of lectures, case studies, and group discussions,” said Ngoc-Anh Nguyen, a member of the conference planning committee. “Attendees will learn the fundamentals of controlled release oral dosage form design and development, discover various techniques to formulate and evaluate controlled release products, and obtain practical, up-to-date technical information.”

In the tradition of the AAPS Pharmaceutical Technologies Conference at Arden House (held annually each Winter), this conference is designed to meet the needs of scientists in the drug formulation and process development areas.

Conference speakers are from academic, industry and government backgrounds and represent a well-rounded perspective of the issues. Discussion topics include: In Vitro-In Vivo Considerations in Designing Controlled Release Dosage Forms, Controlled Release Products to Manage Product Life Cycles, Formulating Matrix Controlled Release Systems, and General Guidance on Bioavailability and Bioequivalence for Controlled Release Products.
