2000 AAPS Annual Meeting Abstracts
Debut Online
Access to 1,800+ Abstracts Open to Scientific Community Database Published as AAPS PharmSciSM Supplement
ARLINGTON,
Va. – The
American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) premiers an online
database of the abstracts to be presented as contributed papers at the association’s
upcoming 2000 Annual Meeting, Oct. 29 – Nov. 2 in Indianapolis.
The
contributed papers cover a broad range of topics including: drug expiration
dates, flu vaccine technology, menopause, gene therapy, drug delivery, controlled
release systems, and drug therapy. Scientists
from every corner of the globe—including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China,
Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Korea, Singapore, South Africa, and Thailand—will present
papers at the annual meeting. The selected
papers are peer-reviewed by 100 scientists, known as screeners, before being
accepted for presentation at the meeting.
The
fully searchable database of abstracts can be accessed online at https://www.aaps.org/annualmeet/view2kabstracts.htm.
A unique characteristic of the online database is the personal itinerary
feature. While searching the database,
annual meeting attendees can build a personal itinerary for the meeting, selecting
the sessions of greatest interest to them and planning which presentations to
attend. The database includes all invited
abstracts, in addition to the contributed paper abstracts and the full meeting
program.
The
online and CD-ROM versions of the 2000 AAPS Annual Meeting abstracts are released
as a supplement to AAPS PharmSciSM, the association’s peer–reviewed
electronic journal.
