Technical Platform
and Requirements
Access through a colorful, user-friendly graphic interface, the course material consists
of streaming audio with synchronized PowerPoint™ slides. Requires Pentium 75 MHz PC
or better, Windows 95 or 98, minimum 4x CD-ROM player, speakers, and sound card. CD-ROM
contains a free, licensed copy of RealPlayer™ software, version 5.0. You may
use your existing copy of RealPlayer, provided it is version 5.0 or higher (including the
G2 version) and that it is currently installed in the default location: c:\program
files\real\player\realplay.exe. CD-ROM must remain in drive to access
lecture files.
Goals and Objectives
The objectives of the course will be to provide the pharmaceutical formulator with the
practical knowledge required to identify candidate drugs for oral delivery in a
lipid-based formulation and how to successfully select and develop an appropriate
formulation.
Who Should Participate This course is intended for scientists involved in liquid and semi-solid
formulation development, members of the lipid-based drug delivery systems Focus Group, and
members of the AAPS Pharmaceutical Technologies Section.
